Santa Barbara’s boys basketball team downed Pacifica 70-54 on Tuesday to improve to 4-0 on the season.
Jeff Paschke, with 21 points and 13 rebounds, and Emilio Gonzalez, with 16 points and 10 rebounds, carried the Dons past the previously unbeaten Tritons (4-1).
“We got a fantastic lift from our backup guards Noah Burke and Isaiah Tapia who boosted our momentum and allowed us to pull away,” reported Dons assistant coach Andy Gil.
Burke tallied 10 points and Tapia added seven off the bench.
The Dons led by just five heading into the final quarter but outscored Pacifica 23-12 to end the game.
Santa Barbara plays next in its Channel League opener vs. Ventura next Wednesday.
