Carpinteria boys soccer team fell to Channel Islands 3-1 on Friday in a non-league matchup that was the Warriors’ home opener.
The Raiders built a 3-0 advantage before the Warriors got one back on a penalty kick in the second half.
Carpinteria created chances, including a shot off the crossbar by Lalo Mejia, but could not dig themselves out after falling behind.
“We will learn and grow from this dissapointing home opener and look into the future expecting positive results next time around,” said Warriors head coach Leonardo Quintero.
