Zach Shugart scored 26 to lead Dos Pueblos’ boys basketball team past Pacifica on Saturday on the final day of the Ventura Kiwanis Tournament.
Shugart averaged 18 points in four tournament games for Dos Pueblos, which won 3 of the 4.
Cruz Mertens’ 13 points and Chris Williams’ 7 helped the Chargers improve to 8-4 on the season.
Dos Pueblos head coach Joe Zamora liked his team’s defensive performance as the Chargers held an opponent to 37 points in the second-straight game. Kurtis Randmaa, Erik Olson and Jacob Rodriguez drew praise from Zamora.
