Santa Clara ran away with Thursday’s game with Dos Pueblos, using a strong second half to separate from the Chargers in a 62-35 decision.
Neither team gained much of an advantage until Santa Clara outscored the Chargers by 12 in the third period. Santa Clara then added 16 more points to its lead in the fourth quarter.
Arman Momim led all scorers with 21 points. D’Andre Jordan added 14 for Santa Clara (6-3).
Zach Shugart was the only Charger in double figures with 15.
It was the biggest margin of victory and defeat this season for the Saints and Chargers respectively.
The Chargers (6-4) will face Lakewood in another tournament game on Friday.
