Caleb Richey scored 23 and Peter Kwock had 20 in Bishop Diego’s 66-48 victory over Nordhoff on Thursday at the Santa Barbara Holiday Classic boys basketball tournament.
The Cardinals led after every quarter. The score was 40-27 at halftime.
Richey drained four 3-pointers on his way to 23. As a team, the Cardinals connected on eight three-balls.
Nordhoff’s Brad Sloan led the Rangers with 20 points. Gio Robinson added 16.
It was the second meeting of the season between Nordhoff and Bishop Diego, with the Cardinals improving to 2-0 after a five-point win 10 days ago at Carpinteria’s Jim Bashore Tournament.
The Cardinals, who fell 61-54 to Troy in Wednesday’s tournament opener, face St. Bonaventure on Friday.
