Bishop Diego played a strong third quarter to rally from a seven-point halftime deficit and defeat St. Bonaventure, 53-50, in a consolation semifinal game at the Santa Barbara Holiday Classic boys basketball tournament on Friday.
The Cardinals outscored the Seraphs 20-10 to take a 40-37 lead into the fourth quarter.
Caleb Richey scored 18 points and Thomas Lash and Peter Kwock added 12 points each to pace Bishop (7-5), which plays South Pasadena at 6 p.m. in the consolation final at J.R. Richards Gym.
Patrick Kenney scored 16 points to lead St. Bonaventure.
In other action, Carpinteria lost to Calvary Chapel, 49-36. Duncan Gordon scored 12 points for the Warriors (4-7).
