SBCC’s playoff opponent changes last minute

Due to an error in the procedure for the Southern Cal Regional women’s volleyball playoffs, the bracket was re-shuffled on Monday night, just 24 hours before Tuesday’s opening round.

SBCC remained the No. 12 seed but will be playing at No. 5 Pasadena, instead of traveling to Orange Coast. The SBCC-Pasadena match will start at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Vaqueros (16-6) are the champions of the WSC North with a 10-0 record. They won their last 14 matches to set a new school record. Pasadena (19-4) is the co-champion of the South Coast Conference and has won 13 of its last 14.

The teams met earlier this year with Pasadena posting a 3-0 win on Sept. 7 at the El Camino Quad.
