Seven SBCC players have been named to the All-Western State Conference men’s soccer team.
Freshman midfielders Adam Colton and Kian Chachi and sophomore midfielder Juan Sanchez were first-team selections for the Vaqueros, who went 10-7-4 and finished third in conference. They dropped a 3-2 overtime decision at Chaffey last Saturday in the first round of the Southern Cal Regional.
Second-team honors went to defender George Wakefield and goalie Ismael Guzman. Forward Chijioke Aranotu and midfielder Jamie Sporcic were honorable mention.
Chachi, a freshman from St. Francis High in La Canada, led the Vaqueros in scoring with 23 points (10 goals, 3 assists). Aranotu was a close second with 21 (8 goals, 5 assists).
