Accolades continue to roll in for Santa Barbara native and former Laguna Blanca High School volleyball champion Jackie Harvey.
The American Volleyball Coaches Association recently named Jackie First Team All-American. Harvey last week led the University of Puget Sound women?s volleyball team to a Regional Championship and a berth in the NCAA Quarterfinals.
Harvey has decorated her mantle this season with multiple awards. She was named the Northwest Conference Player of the Year and received Most Valuable Player honors at the Cal Lutheran Regional in the NCAA Tournament last week.
?Jackie has always been gifted,? says head coach Mark Massey, ?But she had to struggle through challenges and injuries and decide to train at a higher level physically during the off-season so that she could reach this level of competitive maturity. She has earned every bit of recognition she received, which is inspiring because she is just as good a teammate and leader as she is player.”
