San Marcos erupted for five goals in the second period and rolled past Buena 11-5 to clinch third place in the Channel League and a spot in the CIF Division 2 water polo playoffs.
Parker Woodward played a solid match in the cage with 11 blocks.
“He really carried us defensively to the victory,” said San Marcos coach Jeff Ashton.
