Laguna Blanca rolled into the quarterfinals of the CIF Division 4-A girls volleyball playoffs with a sweep over Gladstone in Covina on Thursday night. The set scores were 25-22, 25-19, 25-14.
The win sets up a Saturday home match for the Owls against No. 3 seed Bell-Jeff.
“I’m very proud of how we played tonight,” Laguna coach Jim Alzina said. “We had great senior leadership and all the girls played with incredible energy. Our defense was outstanding. No ball hit the floor without two girls hitting he floor as well.”
