PRE-GAME INTRO: Top-seeded and unbeaten Bishop Diego takes on Village
Christian (7-4) in a quarterfinal game of the CIF Northwest Division football playoffs at Occidental College in Los Angeles.Bishop Diego, champion of the Tri-Valley League and 11-0, is looking to advance to the CIF semifinals for the second straight year.
Village Christian, the No. 2 team from the Olympic League, is coached by former NFL quarterback Jay Schroeder.
The winner of this game will play either North Torrance or Gladstone in next Friday’s semifinals.
