Four time Olympian Brenda Villa is coming to speak at the Boys and Girls Club in Goleta this Tuesday at 4 p.m.
Brenda was a captain for the Gold medal winning women’s water polo team at the 2012 Olympics in London. Villa has been on Team USA since 1998, and has earned a bronze, two silvers, and now a Gold medal in the past four Olympics with team USA.
In high school, Villa played with the boys’ water polo team because her school did not have a girls program. She went on to become a four-time All-American in high school, earning her a spot at Stanford. In three seasons with the Cardinal, she scored 172 goals and won an NCAA Championship in 2002.
The event will take place at the Boys and Girls Club in Goleta, located at 5701 Hollister Ave.
