Megan Flynn converted a penalty kick in the 60th minute enabling Santa Barbara High to rally for a 1-1 tie at Oxnard in a girls soccer season opener on Tuesday.
The Dons fell behind in the 22nd minute after Oxnard stole the ball and scored from 30 yards out.
Santa Barbara coach Jeff Johnson said his team turned in a good performance in the first game. He lauded the play of goalkeeper Ali Tro.
