Annelise Morando scored two goals to lead Bishop Diego’s girls soccer team to a 3-0 win over Thacher on Wednesday in Tessa Binkley’s debut as coach of the Cardinals.
Marissa Cordero also scored for Bishop.
Kate Giannini recorded the shutout in goal.
“I was very proud of the way our returners and new players worked together,” said Binkley, who was a standout player at Dos Pueblos and played at Cal State Northridge. “I believe the second half was more organized once the players started to flow.”
