Santa Barbara High’s girls cross country team missed out on the CIF Finals Meet by just one spot on Saturday, finishing in sixth place at the Division 3 CIF Prelim Meet at Mt. SAC.
Miranda Bartell, Bailey Wolf, Bella Demashkie, Ava Dore, Isabella Garza, Christie Karam and Alice Upton raced for the Dons. Five are freshman.

Bartell and Wolf recorded top-20 results for the Dons. Bartell was 17th overall with a time of 19:36. Bailey was just three seconds back at 19:39.
All five freshman, including Bartell and Wolf, posted personal bests on the 3-mile Mt. SAC course.
“It’s a great way to round out the year with those girls,” said Santa Barbara coach Olivia Perdices. “Looking forward to some good things next year.”
