Dos Pueblos’ Bryan Fernandez and Addi Zerrenner both became two-time Santa Barbara County Cross Country champions on Friday at River Walk Course in Lompoc.
The duo led the Chargers to team titles on both the boys and girls side.
Fernandez won his seventh race of the season with a time of 14:47. His teammates helped populate the top 10. John Greening was 3rd (15:37), 4th was Andrew McGuan (15:42), Ben York 9th (15:54) and Cole Smith (10th, 15:59).
For the girls, Zerrenner finished all by herself with a time of 17:48. Second-place finisher Elaine McClure, also of Dos Pueblos, was almost a minute behind in 18:47.
“I’m thrilled with the back to back win today, we had a tough week of training and to see the girls race as well as they did was pretty awesome,” said Chargers coach Leslie Roth.
Dos Pueblos races again at the Channel League Championships on Thursday before preparing for the CIF Meets.
