UCSB baseball opens Fall Ball game to public

The Gauchos have lined up the Loyola Marymount Lions for a fall game on Saturday, Oct. 27 at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium. The game will start at noon and is open to the public free of charge.

The matchup will pit the Gauchos against LMU for the second time this year. The Lions won the previous series between the two teams, 2-1, from Mar. 2-4 in Santa Barbara. The two teams will not meet in the regular season in 2013.

“We’re going to use this game as an opportunity to do a number of things,” said UCSB Head Coach Andrew Checketts. “We’re looking forward to playing against someone besides ourselves, evaluate some of our guys, and see where we’re at a few months before the season starts. It should be a good game between two competitive teams.”
