Santa Barbara High’s cross country teams competed at Saturday’s Clovis Invitational in Fresno, with the boys team finishing 16th and the girls 24th in the Division 2 competition.
James Scheuermann was the Dons’ top individual finisher, coming in 41st place with a time of 16:29. Bradley Apodaca, Gustavo Bello and Eric Woods recorded top-100 times in a field of 200.
For the girls team, Miranda Bartell was the Dons’ fastest runner in 59th place. Bartell’s time was 20:24.
The Division 2 girls race was won by Canyon of Anaheim while St. John Bosco won the boys race.
