Justin Saul scored a pair of second-half goals Tuesday night and SBCC went on to beat Glendale 2-1 in a WSC men’s soccer match at Glendale College.
The Vaqueros (8-5-3, 6-3-3) are unbeaten in their last seven games (5-0-2).
Saul, a sophomore midfielder from Malibu, scored in the 52nd minute after taking a through ball from Jamie Sporcic. Saul made it 2-0 in the 84th minute by bending in a 25-yard free kick.
Glendale (2-8-2 in WSC) scored in the 88th minute.
SBCC, the defending WSC champion, has 21 points and moved within a point of second-place L.A. Mission, whom the Vaqueros will host on Friday at 7 p.m. Mission lost to first-place Oxnard 4-2 on Tuesday.
