Cate School’s 8-man football team received the third seed in the Division 1 CIF bracket that was released on Monday.
The Condor League champions learned they will host Orcutt Academy with the game being played on Saturday at 2 p.m.
The two teams have already played each other this season, with Cate recording a 48-12 victory on the road.?Cate enters the postseason with a 7-1 record while Orcutt is 5-4.
The winner of this game is in line to face either Mojave or Lancaster Baptist in the second round.
Desert Christian Academy is the division’s top seed and Excelsior Charter is the No. 2 seed.
