Dos Pueblos took a step away from Channel League competition on Tuesday, facing Santa Ynez in Sovine Gym. The Chargers came away with a 25-10, 21-25, 25-16, 25-17 victory.
Marina Boulanger’s 18 kills and Colleen O’Connor’s 16 carried Dos Pueblos. Melissa Scott recorded eight kills on 11 attempts.
“Tala Hishmeh played well for us tonight as did Liberos Grace Halleck, Mia Cattaneo and Emma Craine did a fantastic job digging and passing,” explained Dos Pueblos head coach Todd Garrett.
Garrett also noted the play of setter Maddie Leiphardt, who totaled 58 assists.
The Chargers are now 11-10, 4-2.
