The Denver Nuggets announced on Monday that point guard Julyan Stone, a local product out of Dos Pueblos High School, is being held out until January for extended rehabilitation connected to off-season hip surgery.
Head Coach George Karl broke the news following the Nuggets’ 104-98 preseason victory over the Golden State Warriors.
Stone has not appeared in any preseason games and referenced his injury almost two weeks ago on Twitter: “All I’m worried about is getting healthy and getting back on the court with my bros!!”
Stone, the all-time assist leader at UTEP, is going into his second year with the Nuggets.
