Dos Pueblos swept Ventura 25-16, 25-21, 25-18 on Tuesday, giving another shake to the already topsy-turvy Channel League girls volleyball season.
Every team has already suffered at least a win and at least a loss in just a few matches.
The Chargers and Santa Barbara High are atop the standings with records of 2-1. Ventura (2-2) was coming off of a win against San Marcos, which had beaten the Chargers just two days before.
“Maddy Leiphardt set the best match of her senior season so far,” Todd Garrett reported. “Marina Boulanger and Colleen O’Connor led our attacking tonight. They were aggressive and smart about where they put the ball.”
Boulanger’s 14 kills was a team-high. O’Connor also reached double digits with 11. Teah Burdick’s nine kills came on 20 attempts.
Grace Halleck, Mia Cattaneo, Natalie Klapp and Emma Craine also did their part as Dos Pueblos improved to 3-4 overall.
