Alex Honnold is fastly becoming one of the most famous climbers in the history of the sport. You may have seen him in National Geographic or on Sixty Minutes. He climbs some of the toughest routes in the world, with no protection whatsoever. Honnold is a professional climber known for his free solo style, meaning he tends to leave the ropes at home when he climbs! He is sponsored by The North Face, Black Diamond, Sender films, as well as many others. When he isn’t free soloing, Honnold travels the world looking for new climbing areas as a climbing ambassador for The North Face. He has also been in many films, including the award winning “Alone on the Wall,” which documents his free solo climb of Half Dome in Yosemite.
