Alexis Flores went 3-0 playing with Amber Rowley and Kinsley Shinn to lead the San Marcos girls tennis team to a 12-6 win over Buena in a Channel League match on Thursday.
The doubles team of Stephanie Manson-Hing and Leanne Sturman were 3-0 and Lia Welkom and Julia Frohling each picked up points in singles.
San Marcos ended the first round of league play at 3-1. The Royals are 7-5 overall.
“We are very happy to be 3-1, but we know we need to continue to improve for the second round,” said coach Alex Sheldon.
He praised the play of freshman Sarah Douglas and Olivia Sturman.
