Jonathan Esqueda found the endzone three times for the Carpinteria High School football team on Friday night, leading the Warriors to a 35-22 Tri-Valley League victory at Santa Paula.
Esqueda totaled 167 yards on 23 carries and scored from 60-yards out on the first play of the second half.
The Warriors were trailing 14-0 at halftime but Esqueda’s big play launched a 22-0 third quarter for Carpinteria.
The result leaves the Warriors 4-0 on the road this season. That’s where Carpinteria will finish its regular season next week, traveling to Oak Park.
