Providence Hall showed good offensive balance in sweeping Orcutt Academy in a non-league girls volleyball match on Saturday. The set scores 27-25, 25-19, 25-9.
Lizzy Beebe led the Lions with eight kills and two blocks, and four other players put down five kills apiece.
“We really spread it out,” coach Laura Trudelle said.
She praised the play of Olivia Johnson, who had four kills and dug four balls as a back- row player. “She did a good job on serve receive and free ball passing,” said Trudelle.
Maddie Niessen had 13 digs and Lacey Gonzalez served three aces and had 16 assists.
Providence Hall plays Laguna Blanca on Tuesday at Westmont College.
