Sophomore Hannah White had 21 digs and Clara Madsen put away 13 kills as Laguna Blanca’s girls volleyball team picked up a crosstown win at Bishop Diego on Thursday night. Set scores were 25-16, 25-22, 25-22.
“Hannah was a human shovel tonight. She was digging everything and also detonated a few kills from the outside. I’m excited with the younger players on this team,” said Owls coach Jim Alzina.
Bishop Diego’s Lauren Underwood led with 18 kills, while Madison Ballard had four kills and 12 digs.
“Bishop is a very solid team, so we were very pleased to get this win. It was a great atmosphere over at the Brickhouse,” said Alzina.
