The fourth-ranked Eagles of Biola (18-1, 5-0 GSAC) swept the fifth-ranked Warriors of Westmont (17-4. 2-3) in three sets (25-15, 25-16, 25-20) on Saturday night, handing the Warriors their fourth loss of the season in a Golden State Athletic Conference match.
“There were better than us, tonight, and we didn’t have an answer for their height said Westmont head coach Pattie Cook. “They had eight blocks to our three and we had trouble getting our offense running.”
Westmont produced an attack percentage of just .119 on the evening while Biola notched a .364 attack percentage.
Madison Serrano led the Warriors with 11 kills, while Ciara Turner had eight. Nichol Miller, who played only in the third set, had six kills on eight attempts for an attack percentage of .750.
The Warriors will look to turn around a two-match losing streak on Tuesday evening when they welcome the Lions of Vanguard (10-9, 2-3). First serve is scheduled for 7 o’clock.
