Carpinteria’s girls tennis team won its ninth straight match in Wednesday’s 13-5 result over Thacher.
“The match was much closer than the score indicated and we were able to pull out some close sets in a very balanced win,” said Warriors coach Charles Bryant.
Kelsie Bryant won all three of her sets at No. 1 singles for the Warriors. Kassandra Ni went 2-0.
The Warriors also received a strong performance from their reliable No. 1 doubles team of Lesly Zapata and Erin Saito. The pair was 3-0 with a games score of 18-2.
Another doubles point came from Merissa Souza and Emily Saito, who subbed in and won their only match in a tiebreaker.
