Freshman Charlotte Skjonsby fired a season-low 74 on Monday and SBCC placed fourth in WSC No. 2 at the par-72 Santa Barbara Golf Club.
Skjonsby shaved 10 strokes off her previous best this year.
“Charlotte played a super round today,” said coach Chuck Melendez. “She has great rhythm and ball-striking ability. She’s just a great all-around player.”
Jackie Ramirez shot an 89 and Megan Herrera had 91 for the Vaqueros, who shot 347. Glendale topped the five-team field at 315.
Glendale leads the WSC at 8-0. Santa Barbara (3-5) is tied for third with Bakersfield.
Kristin Grimes, the defending state champion from Canyons, was the medalist at 1-under 71.
The Vaqueros will play in WSC No. 3 on Monday at Diamond Bar GC..
