SBCC fell behind 4-0 to L.A. Pierce on Friday and never recovered in a 6-2 women’s soccer loss on a scorching 107-degree day in Woodland Hills.
“It was disappointing, there were lots of defensive errors,” said coach John Sisterson. “When we got the ball on the floor, we knocked the ball around well, even though the score didn’t reflect it.”
Kayla Campbell scored in the 27th minute to make it 4-1 and Brandie Harris notched her seventh goal in the 86th minute for the Vaqueros (4-2-2), who are ranked 10th in Southern California.
The Vaqueros will play their next five at home, starting with the WSC North opener vs. Cuesta on Thursday at 7 p.m.
