Santa Barbara City College routed Compton for its first win of the season on Friday night in a 41-7 result at La Playa Stadium
Two SBCC quarterbacks damaged Compton with 322 yards passing and five touchdowns. Jarred Evans completed 14 of 18 for 180 yds and 3 scores while Jake Umphreyville was 10 of 14 for 142 yds and two touchdowns.
“It feels great to get a win,” said coach Craig Moropoulos. “I told the guys I expected them to win. We’re confident right now and moving in the right direction.”
The 41 points were the most scored by SBCC since the last game of 2009 when they put up 46 in a 52-46 loss to West L.A.
