In its final tuneup before Channel League play, San Marcos played a strong match and swept San Luis Obispo, 25-9, 25-14, 25-20, in a non-league volleyball match.
Middle attacker Kristen Berlo led the Royals with 17 kills and Emily Allen added 10.
The defense sparkled, with Anika Wilson picking up 18 digs, Allen 15 and Jordan Corry 13.
“We played very well tonight and served tough,” San Marcos coach Erica Downing said. “We were able to set the middle tonight, which showed that we passed well.
“A great win for us leading into league on Tuesday.”
The Royals host Dos Pueblos on Tuesday.
