Providence Hall swept Valley Christian on Friday in a non-league matchup 25-12, 25-23, 27-25.
Olivia Barroca set the tone for Providence Hall by tallying five aces in the first set alone. Barroca would total six aces for the match.
Lacey Gonzalez helped the Lions shut the door in a tight third set with three kills after Valley Christian took a 21-18 lead. Providence Hall rallied for the 27-25 set win and the match.
The result evens Providence Hall’s record at 2-2. The Lions play again on Saturday at Westmont against Villanova at 5 p.m.
Gonzalez finished with eight kills and 19 assists in Friday’s match. Olivia Johnson led the team with 10 kills and Elizabeth Beebe recorded eight.
