Dos Pueblos learned a lesson in finishing sets on Wednesday.
The Chargers took the first set against Thousand Oaks and had leads in the next two sets, but they couldn’t finish them off and dropped a 21-25, 27-25, 25-22, 25-18 non-league match on Wednesday.
“Our energy was good but we need to learn how to finish,” DP coach Todd Garrett said. “We definitely will be working on how to play those last 5 points.
Marina Boulanger led the Chargers with 12 kills; McKenna Goss added 11 kills and Colleen O’Connor seven.
“Our middles always work hard and it was no different tonight,” said Garrett.
Libero Grace Halleck played a solid match and Mia Cattaneo, Emma Craine and Emily Lunt were good in the back, Garrett said.
The Chargers (1-2) travel Friday to San Jose to play in the Archbishop Mitty Invitational. They open against Christian Brothers.
