Santa Barbara High’s girls volleyball team dropped its first two matches at the Archbishop Mitty Tournament in San Jose on Friday.
The Dons fell in their tournament opener to Moraga’s Campolindo High School 25-15, 25-20, 25-17.
Then Vista del Lago topped Santa Barbara 25-27, 25-8, 25-23, 25-21
“We’ve been doing OK and we just got to get better,” said Dons head coach John Gannon.
The Dons entered the tournament as the 11th seed out of 16 teams.
Setter Emma Mascari and libero Bailey Roach were singled out for their quality performances despite the pair of losses.
