Santa Barbara High’s girls golf team improved on its team score from its season opener last week, yet it was not enough to overcome undefeated Oaks Christian on Tuesday at Camarillo Springs Golf Course.
The Lions, now 3-0 on the season, combined to score 208 against the Dons’ 241.
Brigitte Dunne earned medalist honors with nine-hole score of 37.
Santa Barbara’s best score came from Saralisa Ortega with a 42. Claudia Fanaro was next at 43 followed by Alissa Crane’s 45. Their team score of 241 was 22 strokes better than the season opener.
The Dons (1-1) return to their home course for their next match against Pacifica on Thursday.
