Dos Pueblos upped its record to 3-0 on Friday night after a 25-8 victory over Cabruillo at Huyck Stadium in Lompoc.
The Chargers were up 25-0 until the Conquistadores scored a touchdown in the final quarter to complete the final score.
The Chargers’ defense nearly posted its second shut out in three games while holding opposing offenses to an average of less than 10 points per game so far this season.
The defense and special teams didn’t come up empty, however, recording its second safety of the season after a blocked punt.
The end result set up a clash next week of undefeated teams as Dos Pueblos will host Lompoc, winners of 23 straight.
