Cate lost to a strong Pasadena Poly team, 15-3, in a non-league girls tennis match on Saturday.
“Poly came in match tough, having already played seven matches to Cate’s two,” Cate coach Barbara DeGroot said. “Our singles players had chances but were only able to grab two wins in nine sets.”
Pasadena Poly plays in CIF-SS Division 2 while Cate is in Division 4. The Rams are 2-1 on the season.
Senior co-captains Mady Snidler and Marina Narain posted set wins in singles and Cate’s No. 1 doubles team of freshman McKenna Madden and sophomore Victoria Herman got a win.
