Woodside Priory defeated Bishop Diego’s girls volleyball team on Thursday night 25-15, 25-20, 25-23.
Lauren Underwood collected nine kills and 14 digs for the Cardinals. Talia Van Wingerden added six kills while Madison Ballard and Erin Linahan led the team in passing. Setter Greta Rennacker totaled 20 assists.
“For the first match of the season we learned a lot and have a number of positives to build on,” noted Cardinals coach John Sener.
The Cardinals play on Saturday at the Laguna Blanca Tournament.
