San Luis Obispo won the tiebreaker battle on its way to winning the war with San Marcos on Friday.
The Tigers’ girls tennis team won 2-of-3 that made the difference in a 10-8 non-league victory over the Royals.
Singles players Jordan Lund and Renee Handley brought the Royals six of their eight points. In their six set wins, the pair claimed 36 games to SLO’s 8.
San Marcos’ top doubles team of Alex Flores and Amber Rowley won two sets but lost the other in a tiebreaker 7-6(5). One of their wins came in a tiebreaker that was won 10-8.
San Marcos, now 3-4 on the season, plays again on Saturday against West Ranch.
Caroline Burke and Anna Lippold were 3-0 for San Luis Obispo.
