Saralisa Ortega scored a 42 on Thursday to lead Santa Barbara High’s girls golf team to victory in its season opener.
The Dons defeated Santa Ynez 264-313 at Montecito Country Club.
Santa Barbara, which shared the Channel League title last year and qualified for the CIF-Southern Section Northern Team Divisional Championship, plays again next Tuesday against Oaks Christian at River Ridge Golf Club in Oxnard.
