Nate Mendoza has resigned as head baseball coach at Dos Pueblos, Athletic Director Dan Feldhaus announced on Thursday.
Mendoza in May was named the head football coach at DP.
A special education teacher at the school, Mendoza was the head baseball coach since 2009. He guided the Chargers to a pair of Channel League championships (2009 and 2012) and had an overall record of 68-45 and a 29-19 mark in Channel League play.
“Nate did a very good job running our baseball program, and we completely support him in his decision to take something off of his plate,? Feldhaus said in a statement. ?He leaves the baseball program in a very good position to focus on football.? We are very confident that he will continue the proud tradition of Charger Football moving forward.”
The DPHS Athletic Department is taking resumes of those interested in the head baseball position.? Please contact Feldhaus at [email protected] for information.
