The Santa Barbara Foresters suffered their first loss of the NBC World Series on Thursday evening, falling to the Hay Larks 8-0 in Wichita, Kansas.
It was the first time since July 4th that the Foresters were shut out. The defeat also snapped Santa Barbara’s 14-game winning streak.
But the Foresters are still in the hunt for the national championship in this double elimination tournament, and face the El Dorado Broncos at 6:30 local time today.
Santa Barbara is looking to win its second straight NBC World Series title and fourth in six years.
Tonight’s game can be listened to locally in Santa Barbara on AM 1290.
