The preseason polls for the Southern Section of CIF were released on Wednesday, with Dos Pueblos finding itself holding the highest ranking of any area team.
The Chargers reached the Division 1-AA semifinals last season but graduated several key players including two-time Channel League MVP Taylor Racich. This season the Chargers will start out ranked No. 4 in the division behind top-ranked Los Alamitos, Marymount and Edison.
The Santa Barbara High Dons did not make the top-10 but did receive votes in the coaches’ poll.
In Division 4-A, small school Laguna Blanca received the No. 6 position.
