Newbury Park Gold’s U-8 amd U-10 girls softball teams were double winners at the weekend’s third annual Lindsay Rose Memorial Tournament played at Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta.
In the U-10 Division, Newbury Park defeated Orcutt 8-4 in the championship game.
The U-8 Division saw Newbury Park top Santa Maria 6-1 in the final.
The tournament started with 18 teams, which competed in pool play on Saturday before advancing to bracket-elimination play on Sunday.
The local U-10 Goleta Thunder team reached Sunday’s semifinals but fell to the eventual champions.
