Goleta Valley South’s 9/10 All-Stars earned a rematch with Dos Pueblos on Monday by defeating Santa Paula 8-4.
Goleta Valley will face DPLL on Tuesday in Montalvo.
Diego Sandoval, Anthony Martinez and Jackson Haskell recorded a double and single each to power the offense.
Santa Paula loaded the bases in the sixth inning and brought the tying run to the plate. Great defensive plays in the final inning from Sandoval and Jack Winterbauer, plus an outfield assist from Josh Swanson to end the game, preserved the season-extending victory.
Isaac Villareal pitched the final two innings for Goleta Valley.
DP can win the district banner on Tuesday with the win, but a loss gives Goleta Valley a deciding game on Wednesday.
