Riley Moore is headed to the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.
The 2011 San Marcos High graduate and two-time All-Channel League player,is the starting catcher for the University of Arizona, which swept St. John’s to win its best-of-three NCAA Super Regional series in Tucson.
Moore had a RBI single in Saturday’s 7-4 series-clinching win.
The Wildcats (43-17) are making their first College World Series appearance since 2004. They’ll open against Florida State.
Moore is batting .292 with 38 RBIs. He’s started in 57 of Arizona’s 60 games.
